Who I am

Born in La Spezia in 1969, I approached the world of music and particularly the one of guitar at the age of 8. In the 80s I perfected my studies at the A. Boito Conservatory of Parma under the guidance of Maestro E. Tagliavini, graduating with full marks.
I also attended the music school of the aforementioned institute, completing my studies and becoming passionate about the study of harmony and composition.
In those years I’ve been participating in numerous masterclasses of ensemble music and musical interpretation held by Maestro Piero Guarino. In the nineties I also attended the course of palaeography and musical philology of Cremona.
Afetrwards, I took part in master classes held by masters such as A. Diaz and O. Ghiglia. From 1995 to 2000 I attended numerous specialization courses for baroque chamber music.
Always fascinated by the chamber music i’be been playing in various musical ensembles (duo, trio, and quartet) performing original music and transcriptions.

The Teachings

From 1992 to 1996 I was invited to take part in the commission of the international guitar competition of the city of Viareggio.
From 1991 to 1992 I was a professor of musical propaedeutics at the A. Boito Conservatory of Parma. From that moment the passion for teaching becomes an integral part of my life.
From 1995 to 2005 I collaborate as a teacher with various associations and schools of my province.
Since 2006 I have been teaching guitar and music education at the state secondary schools of the city of La Spezia.
Struck by the famous quote of the master Andrès Segovia “The guitar is the easiest instrument to play and the hardest to play well. ” I set my commitment and my interest in teaching with the aim at achieving good technical and musical results through a simple and intuitive approach that brings young people close to guitar without having to face exhausting and tiring efforts that move the modern student away from the musical world.

Teaching

Italian musician and composer

As I disagree with the use of old and obsolete theacing methods, I have developed a didactics fundamentally connected to the teacher-pupil relationship. Music is language and, therefore, it is communication. Thus, if teaching means not taking such dictates into consideration as essential foundations, the teacher denies the very principles of the musical essence.
“In Studio” activity
Passionate about the physical nature of sound in 2003 I attended the master of audio recording, sound mixing and propagation of sound waves at the Lizard Study Center in Florence.
From this moment begins a constant collaboration, with regard to recording, editing and audio mixing, with numerous recording studios in the province of Genoa.
